Islam Awareness Week celebrating the "Best of Britain"

Islam Awareness Week (IAW) runs from 17th to 23rd November and is being launched this year in Birmingham, Bradford, Sheffield, Ilford and many other towns across the UK. The theme for 2008 is "Celebrating the Best of Britain - promoting shared values".

IAW began in 1994 and aims to raise awareness and remove misconceptions surrounding Britain's second largest faith group.

An event celebrating IAW in Surrey is at The Lightbox in Woking on Sunday 23rd November from 2pm to 4pm. The Truth that Lies Inside is a showcase for the talents of the internationally-renowned singer/songwriter Dawud Wharnsby Ali. Admission is free but places are limited so call 07809 396 562 to book in advance.
